Keynote: Access to Higher Education for Refugees
Indiana University’s Senior Director for International Student and Scholar Programming, Rendy Schrader, and Senior Associate Director of International Admissions will share stories and statistics about the state of access to higher education for refugees worldwide, and what IU is doing about it. They will start with the big picture and then home in on specific actions IU took, in hopes that you may be inspired to host a refugee on your campus. At the very least, you will be touched and impressed by the success of the student stories. After that framework, you will be introduced to a panel of students who are prepared to tell you a little about their path, in a guided discussion, and then they will be happy to answer questions from you.
